Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 53.23% in June 2021, a flat growth over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 12.44% in June 2021, marking a 25% month-on-month an increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 11.44% in June 2021, a 27.78% growth from May 2021.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 32.73% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s food service industry during June 2021 over previous month.
Cineworld Group posted 65 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a an increase of 4.84% over the previous month, followed by Starbucks with 37 jobs and a 131.25% growth. Compass Group with 26 IT jobs and Chick-fil-A with 11 jobs, recorded a 44.44% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while BJ’s Restaurants recorded a 133.33% an increase with 7 job postings during June 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s food service industry
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s food service industry IT hiring activity with a 98.01% share in June 2021, a 14.53% rise over May 2021. Canada featured next with a 1.99% share, up 300% over the previous month.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 44.78%, down by 2.17% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 43.78% share, a growth of 15.79% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 11.44% share, up 475% over May 2021.
