Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 36% in February 2021, a 30.77% drop over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 16% in February 2021, marking an 11.11% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 14% in February 2021, a 36.36% drop from January 2021.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 15.63% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s food service industry during February 2021 over previous month.
Starbucks posted 12 IT jobs in February 2021 and registered a decline of 7.69% over the previous month, followed by Compass Group with 8 jobs and a 60% growth. Chick-fil-A with 7 IT jobs and Sodexo with 5 jobs, recorded a 22.22% decline and a 66.67% increase, respectively, while Yum China Holdings recorded a 150% increase with 5 job postings during February 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s food service industry
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s food service industry IT hiring activity with a 96% share in February 2021, a 9.43% decline over January 2021. Canada featured next with a 4% share, down 33.33% over the previous month. recorded a % share, a flat growth compared with January 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 50%, down by 30.56% from January 2021. Mid Level positions with a 30% share, a growth of 25% compared with the previous month.
