IT jobs accounted for a 1.89% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in May 2022, registering a decrease of 0.05% over the last three-month average share.
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations leads by classification in May 2022
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 51.72% in May 2022, a 25% drop over the previous month. Computer Support Specialists came in next, claiming a share of 27.59% in May 2022, marking a 100% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers with a share of 13.79% in May 2022, a 76.47% drop from April 2022.

AECOM posted 6 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered an increase of 500% over the previous month, followed by Komatsu with 4 jobs and a flat growth. Cummins with 2 IT jobs and Spirax-Sarco Engineering with 2 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while SNC-Lavalin Group recorded a 100% increase with 2 job postings during May 2022.

United Arab Emirates commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 31.03% share in May 2022, a 28.57% increase over April 2022. Gabon featured next with a 13.79% share, flat growth over the previous month. Israel recorded a 10.34% share, a drop of 66.67% compared with April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022
