US-based company Jones Lang LaSalle’s IT hiring declined 5.5% in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 2.92% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 4.74% share in the company’s total hiring activity in July 2022, and recorded a 0.32% decline over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Jones Lang LaSalle, Computer and Information Analysts emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 35.71% in July 2022, and a 92.31% rise over June 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 27.14% in July 2022, and registered a decline of 20.83%. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers held a share of 20% in July 2022, a 34.88% drop from June 2022.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Jones Lang LaSalle

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global construction IT hiring activity in July 2022 with a 60% share, which marked a 21.5% drop over the previous month.

North America stood next with 24.29%, registering a flat month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 14.29% share and a 13.04% drop over June 2022.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 1.43% and a month-on-month flat growth.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 35.71% share in July 2022, a 4.17% growth over June 2022. US featured next with a 24.29% share, flat growth over the previous month. Philippines recorded a 10% share, a decline of 67.44% compared with June 2022.

Junior Level jobs held a share of 76.43%, down by 11.57% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 12.14% share, a growth of 6.25% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 11.43% share, down 44.83% over June 2022.
