US-based company Jones Lang LaSalle’s IT hiring declined 24.8% in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 13.5% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.
IT jobs claimed a 4.2% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2022, and recorded a 0.9% decline over the last three-month average share.
Database and Network Administrators and Architects tops Jones Lang LaSalle IT hiring in August 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Jones Lang LaSalle, Database and Network Administrators and Architects emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 32.67% in August 2022, and a 13.16% drop over July 2022, while Computer and Information Analysts claimed a share of 27.72% in August 2022, and registered a decline of 44%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 13.86% in August 2022, a 133.33% rise from July 2022.

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global construction IT hiring activity in August 2022 with a 52.48% share, which marked a 36.9% drop over the previous month.
North America stood next with 26.73%, registering a 20.59% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 13.86% share and a 30% drop over July 2022.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 4.95% and a month-on-month flat growth. Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.98%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 26.73% share in August 2022, a 20.59% decline over July 2022. India featured next with an 18.81% share, down 62% over the previous month. China recorded an 8.91% share, an increase of 28.57% compared with July 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead Jones Lang LaSalle IT hiring activity in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 79.21%, down by 25.23% from July 2022. Entry Level positions with a 10.89% share, a decline of 31.25% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 9.9% share, down 41.18% over July 2022.
