France’s consumer industry registered a 1.9% rise in IT hiring activity in March 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 17.72% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.

Out of the consumer industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.78% share in March 2022, recording a decrease of 0.5% over the last three-month average share.

1) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations recorded a share of 44.79% in March 2022, registering an 8.51% decline over the previous month.

2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 39.58% share, a decrease of 17.39% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 11.46%, registering a 52.17% decline from February 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 2.08%, up 100% over the previous month.

Top five consumer companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 15.87% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s consumer industry during March 2022 over February 2022.

LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton posted 20 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a drop of 4.76% over the previous month, followed by Unibel with 10 jobs and a 66.67% drop. Nestle with 9 IT jobs and Pernod Ricard with 8 jobs, recorded a 200% growth and a 166.67% growth, respectively, while L’Occitane International recorded a flat growth with 6 job postings during March 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 73.96%, down by 25.26% from February 2022. Entry Level positions with a 13.54% share, registered a decline of 13.33% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 12.5% share, up 33.33% over February 2022.
