February 2022 has seen an increase of 0.77% in the overall hiring activity when compared with January 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 5.54% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in February 2022, registering an increase of 0.04% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in February 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 57.95% in February 2022, a 1.29% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 14.59% in February 2022, marking an 11.3% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 11.7% in February 2022, a 13.71% drop from January 2022.

Top five construction companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 5.86% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s construction industry during February 2022 over previous month.
Eberspacher Climate Control Systems GmbHKG posted 71 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered a decline of 34.86% over the previous month, followed by Alpiq Anlagentechnik with 62 jobs and a 5.08% growth. Bouygues with 54 IT jobs and Danfoss with 52 jobs, recorded a 68.75% rise and a 28.77% drop, respectively, while Arcadis UK (Holdings) recorded a flat growth with 50 job postings during February 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s construction industry
The UK commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 26.7% share in February 2022, a 3.19% increase over January 2022. Germany featured next with a 17.69% share, down 24.63% over the previous month. France recorded an 8.53% share, a growth of 0.81% compared with January 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.61%, down by 2.93% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 14.93% share, registered a growth of 3.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 13.76% share, down 11.89% over January 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.69%, recording a month-on-month growth of 66.67%.
