August 2022 has seen an increase of 2.14% in the overall hiring activity when compared with July 2022.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 36.92% in August 2022, a 2.15% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 27.34% in August 2022, marking a 14.12% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 18.79% in August 2022, a 13.33% rise from July 2022.

Top five construction companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 21.29% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s construction industry during August 2022 over previous month.
Vinci posted 94 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered an increase of 20.51% over the previous month, followed by Arup Group with 66 jobs and a 371.43% growth. Bilfinger with 61 IT jobs and Honeywell International with 53 jobs, recorded a 7.58% drop and a 26.19% rise, respectively, while Kier Group recorded a 28.57% decline with 45 job postings during August 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s construction industry
The UK commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 35.3% share in August 2022, a 14.16% decrease over July 2022. Germany featured next with a 17.24% share, up 27.87% over the previous month. France recorded a 10.1% share, a drop of 2.84% compared with July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.64%, down by 10% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with an 18.2% share, registered a decline of 6.44% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 11.2% share, down 12.64% over July 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.96%, recording a month-on-month growth of 62.5%.
