The industry’s overall hiring increased by 6.81% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.

Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.37% share in September 2022, recording a decrease of 0.32% over the last three-month average share.

By GlobalData1) Database and Network Administrators and Architects recorded a share of 32.32% in September 2022, registering a 27.27% decline over the previous month.
2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 28.28% share, an increase of 16.67% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 15.15%, registering a 150% rise from August 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 13.13%, up 116.67% over the previous month.
Top five construction companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 145.45% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s construction industry during September 2022 over August 2022.
Caterpillar posted 18 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a rise of 157.14% over the previous month, followed by Jones Lang LaSalle with 13 jobs and a 44.44% growth. Trane Technologies with 10 IT jobs and Johnson Controls International with 7 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 16.67% growth, respectively, while Burckhardt Compression recorded a flat growth with 6 job postings during September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 85.86%, up by 23.19% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 10.1% share, registered an increase of 11.11% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 4.04% share, down 33.33% over August 2022.
