The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 6.14% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.
Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.84% share in October 2022, recording an increase of 0.38% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 19.12% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s construction industry during October 2022 over September 2022.
National Storage REIT posted 19 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a drop of 13.64% over the previous month, followed by Komatsu with 18 jobs and a 25% drop. Actividades de Construccion y Servicios with 17 IT jobs and RJE Global with 14 jobs, recorded an 112.5% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Hatch recorded a decline of 7.14% with 13 job postings during October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.35%, down by 13.57% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with a 16.86% share, registered a decline of 21.62% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 11.63% share, up 33.33% over September 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.16%, recording a month-on-month increase of 100%.
