July 2022 has seen a decrease of 2.74% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 6.63% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2022, registering a decrease of 0.13% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in July 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 56.3% in July 2022, a 23.28% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 21.14% in July 2022, marking a 25.38% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 9.89% in July 2022, a 21.02% drop from June 2022.

Top five construction companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 24.15% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s construction industry during July 2022 over previous month.
Honeywell International posted 252 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a decline of 29.81% over the previous month, followed by Larsen & Toubro with 223 jobs and a 39.89% drop. Jones Lang LaSalle with 84 IT jobs and Johnson Controls International with 57 jobs, recorded a 21.5% drop and a flat growth, respectively, while Eaton Corporation recorded a 14.29% increase with 56 job postings during July 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s construction industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 70.75% share in July 2022, a 26.64% decrease over June 2022. Australia featured next with a 10.18% share, down 18.75% over the previous month. China recorded a 6.26% share, a flat growth compared with June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.99%, down by 25.11% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 29.54% share, registered a decline of 21.25% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 8.26% share, down 23.68% over June 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.21%, recording a month-on-month growth of 200%.
