Notably, cloud was one of the most frequently referenced themes in Q2 2024, ranking highest in terms of mentions, ahead of sharing economy and autonomous vehicles, according to GlobalData.

Of the top leading companies in the construction industry, Digital Realty Trust had the greatest increase in references for cloud in Q2 2024, compared with the previous quarter. GlobalData identified six cloud-related sentences in the company's filings - 1% of all sentences - and a decrease of 14% in Q2 2024 compared with Q2 2023. Zillow Group’s mentions of cloud rose by 50% to 3 and KE’s by 98% to 1 and Martin Marietta Materials’s by 67% to 1.
