Germany construction industry registered a 0.5% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 0.17% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.

Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.74% share in July 2021, recording an increase of 0.04% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Germany construction industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany construction industry in July 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 75.68% in July 2021, a 51.35% growth over the previous month.

2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 10.81% share, decline of 55.56% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 8.11%, registering a 200% rise from June 2021.

4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 4.05%, up 200% over the previous month.

Top five construction companies in Germany IT recruitment activity in July 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 31.11% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany construction industry during July 2021 over June 2021.

Eberspacher Climate Control Systems GmbHKG posted 28 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a drop of 26.32% over the previous month, followed by Strabag with 14 jobs and a 600% growth. Liebherr-International with 7 IT jobs and Trelleborg with 7 jobs, recorded a 250% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Bilfinger recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during July 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.03%, up by 58.33% from June 2021. Entry Level positions with an 18.92% share, a growth of 27.27% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 4.05% share, down 83.33% over June 2021.
