France construction industry registered a 3.6% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring decreased by 6.99% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.

Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.49% share in July 2021, recording an increase of 0.16% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in France construction industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.86% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France construction industry in July 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 46.59% in July 2021, a 5.13% growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 26.14% share, an increase of 76.92% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 20.45%, registering a 63.64% rise from June 2021.
4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 4.55%, down 20% over the previous month.
Top five construction companies in France IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 19.23% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France construction industry during July 2021 over June 2021.
Vinci posted 20 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a rise of 33.33% over the previous month, followed by Manitou BF with 14 jobs and a 16.67% growth. Somfy with 10 IT jobs and Bouygues with 9 jobs, recorded a 400% growth and a 35.71% decline, respectively, while Eiffage recorded a flat growth with 9 job postings during July 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 85.23%, up by 59.57% from June 2021. Entry Level positions with an 11.36% share, a decline of 41.18% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 3.41% share, down 50% over June 2021.
