
China consumer industry registered a 3.8% decline in IT hiring activity in June 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring decreased by 3.76% in June 2021 compared with May 2021.
Out of the consumer industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.83% share in June 2021, recording an increase of 0.42% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in China consumer industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.23% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China consumer industry in June 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 67.69% in June 2021, a 13.73% drop over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 16.15% share, decline of 34.38% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 10%, registering a 40.91% decline from May 2021.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 3.08%, down 73.33% over the previous month.
Top five consumer companies in China IT recruitment activity in June 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 7.48% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China consumer industry during June 2021 over May 2021.
Haier Group posted 76 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a rise of 7.04% over the previous month, followed by Carrier Global with 10 jobs and a 70.59% drop. Signify with 5 IT jobs and Mars with 4 jobs, recorded a 150% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Shanghai Jahwa United recorded a flat growth with 4 job postings during June 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 85.38%, down by 31.9% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with an 8.46% share, a decline of 31.25% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 6.15% share, up 60% over May 2021.
