The National Heart Centre in Singapore, which was designed by UK-based architectural firm Broadway Malyan, has been completed.
The 12-storey building features open spaces with a mix of green courtyards, sky gardens and landscape views.

Broadway Malyan was selected through an open competition for the £175m project. The company provided a range of services, including architectural, landscape architectural and interior design services.
Broadway Malyan Singapore-based director Ed Baker said: "Our expert design team wanted to challenge people’s perceptions of healthcare and taking the patient experience as our starting point, working in close partnership with the Ministry of Health, we have incorporated the complex, specialist medical needs within an exciting and dramatic space."
The project forms part of Singapore’s general hospital redevelopment master plan, which is claimed to be the largest in the country.

By GlobalDataThe Health City Novena project is being implemented by Tan Tock Seng Hospital, the National Healthcare Group and Singapore Health Ministry.
The Singapore-based team of Broadway Malyan is providing the detailed master plan, architectural and landscape design services, in collaboration with Surbana International Consultants, which is offering project management and engineering services.
The project will connect existing healthcare facilities and the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.
The completed facility will serve 30,000 patients, visitors, staff, students and residents per day, doubling the number of patients currently served by the hospital.
Under the plans, existing buildings will be replaced with multi-storey blocks to increase floor space from 250,000m² to 600,000m².
Plans also include a 25% increase in the number of beds to 2,200, and ten buildings will become physically linked, including the Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
