Norconsult has been chosen by contractor and project developer HENT, a part of Sentia, to provide major engineering consultancy services for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation’s (NRK) new media house in Oslo.

This contract is estimated to be worth Nkr100m ($9.88m).

The contract for the new headquarters was secured by HENT in March 2025, followed by a comprehensive competition for engineering consultancy services to be delivered during construction.

The collaboration between HENT and Norconsult draws on their experience in managing complex projects.

The new headquarters for NRK is designed to house all its Oslo-based employees, with a gross floor area (GFA) of around 50,000m² that includes office spaces, studios, production rooms, and a large concert studio.

This project is expected to reach completion by 2029.
