Construction company United Living Group has secured a place on a residential property consortium JV North’s £560m development framework in the UK.

JV North is a consortium of 13 housing associations and local authorities from across the North West and is claimed to be the biggest developers of new social homes in the UK.

With ‘Building Back Fairer’ central theme, the framework will support the delivery of approximately 4,000 new homes in the region between 2021 and 2025.

United Living Group has been appointed for two contractor bands that include £4m to £10m as well as for £10m and above.

United Living New Homes regional managing director Mick Holling said: “We are very proud to have been appointed to this framework, which will see the construction of much needed affordable homes across the North-West.

“As a business, our core values centre on improving the communities in which we work through social value and placing people first, which is very much aligned with the ‘Building Back Fairer’ principles of this framework.

“We look forward to working high-quality to help address the housing crisis and create high quality housing for those in need.”

The members of the JV North consortium include Bury Council, Community Gateway Association, Johnnie Johnson Housing, One Manchester, Peaks and Plains Housing Trust, Plus Dane Housing, Sovini, Stockport Homes and Stockport Council, Torus, Trafford Housing Trust, Weaver Vale Housing Trust, and Wythenshawe Community Housing Group.

JV North members and Homes England have totally invested nearly £899m since the formation in 2007.
