Westminster City Council’s Planning Committee has approved Meadow Partners’ plans to redevelop 10–20 Victoria Street into a 12-storey office and mixed-use scheme in London, UK.

The project, valued at £600m ($794m), will replace two existing buildings with approximately 24,000m² of Grade A office space, with an additional 754m² allocated for new retail and restaurant units at street level.

The approved scheme, designed by Piercy & Company, is intended to enhance both the work environment and the public realm, with plans to use materials such as natural limestone and green granite.

The project is expected to create around 1,500 jobs and increase commercial activity in this prominent area of Westminster.

The redevelopment, located near Westminster Abbey and Parliament Square, will include enhancements to public spaces along Victoria Street and Dean Farrar Street, as part of Meadow Partners’ plans to deliver sustainable office accommodation.

Meadow Partners co-founder and partner J Andrew McDaniel said: “10–20 Victoria Street, located along a heavily trafficked and prestigious location in London, is one of the last major blocks to be redeveloped in Victoria, a rapidly improving office submarket in London.

“We are pleased to receive the approval, which gives us the opportunity to move forward with a scheme that reflects our approach of identifying sites with strong fundamentals, investing with conviction and creating assets that can perform over the long term.

“We look forward to working with a renowned architecture and development team to design an exciting building fitting for a historic London location that will make the city proud.”

The approval follows Meadow Partners’ other activity in Westminster. Its projects in the borough include 17 Rochester Row, a retrofit development under construction, and Hathaway House, a mixed-use scheme with 73 apartments, including 19 affordable homes, alongside commercial space for the NHS.
