Turner Construction Company has reported its project backlog grew 20% year-over-year to exceed $40bn in the third quarter (Q3) of 2025.

The company recorded a 43% increase in revenue in the quarter compared to the same period in the previous year. Revenue reached over $21bn for the first nine months of the year.

Turner’s workforce expanded to 15,000 employees, supporting operations across multiple sectors and regions.

The company said it continues to prioritise high-growth markets, with Advanced Technology projects now accounting for 40% of its project backlog.

This segment includes semiconductor facilities, data centres, and biopharmaceutical sites, representing more than 250 projects for over 30 clients across Europe, North America, and Asia.

In addition to technology-related work, Turner remains active in healthcare, transportation, education, and sports infrastructure.

Turner recently secured contracts for a National Football League stadium for the Cleveland Browns, an arena for the Philadelphia 76ers and Philadelphia Flyers, and a new office tower in Midtown Manhattan.

The company also won major data centre projects across several continents and the $700m modernisation of Memphis International Airport.

Turner attributes its results in part to its integrated service groups such as SourceBlue, Turner Engineering Group, Turner Technical Services, xPL Offsite, and Self-Perform Operations.

The acquisition of Dornan earlier this year has broadened Turner’s capabilities in mechanical and electrical engineering throughout Europe.

In Canada, the company’s subsidiary Clark Builders continues to undertake significant work in sectors such as healthcare and industry.

Turner Construction Company chair and CEO Peter Davoren said: “We are driven by a shared purpose to deliver value for our clients while sustaining an environment where our people can be at their best, be authentic, and be treated with respect and dignity.

"Our focus on active caring, collaboration, and innovation continues to propel our company forward.”

Recently, Turner-Walsh joint venture and the Northwestern University reached the topping-out stage for the new Ryan Field stadium in Illinois, US.

The milestone was achieved with the installation of the final steel beam, marking the end of the structural phase.
