Premier Graphene has conducted in-house studies to showcase progress in the integration of graphene with construction materials.

During the in-house studies, the company’s team was able to demonstrate the quality of graphene-enhanced hydraulic concrete.

This concrete is said to offer increased resistance, strength, and faster drying times, as well as a reduction of costs for large-scale construction projects.

Preliminary tests over a two-week period are said to have shown encouraging results, with a comprehensive report expected in the next 12 days.

The research will extend to other construction materials such as asphalt for roads, aluminium for specialised instruments, and steel.

It is aimed at discovering more applications for graphene that could improve the durability, efficiency, and sustainability of construction materials.

The company noted that its thorough research and testing highlighted graphene's potential to transform global infrastructure building materials.

Premier Graphene president Pedro Mendez said: “I believe Premier Graphene will lead the way with this new breakthrough. We plan on attacking the carbon footprint left behind by the construction industry, while at the same time offering a solution that will be cost-effective in construction projects with great savings to the concrete companies.”

Premier Graphene has also entered into a joint venture with Clear Asset Holdings, a startup cement manufacturer based in Texas, US.

This partnership is set to commercialise graphene-enhanced materials by leveraging Premier Graphene’s technological expertise with Clear Asset Holdings' manufacturing capabilities.

Premier Graphene is also gearing up for land development deals in the State of Mexico and infrastructure projects, including the national motorway connecting Mexicali and Tijuana in Baja California, Mexico.
