Mitsui Fudosan UK and Stanhope, serving as the development manager, have revealed the commencement of construction of two new residential buildings at Television Centre.

This forms part of the second phase of the Television Centre masterplan in White City, London.

Multiplex has been appointed to manage the construction process.

Multiplex UK MD Callum Tuckett said: “Commencement of construction on the latest residential blocks at Television Centre signifies a pivotal moment in the project’s progression.

“Multiplex is extremely proud to be delivering our second project for Stanhope, and we are honoured to play a central role in delivering this crucial component of Stanhope and Mitsui Fudosan’s overarching vision, which will provide 347 new homes on the site.”

The development includes the nine-storey Scenery House and the 25-storey The Ariel, designed by architects dRMM and AHMM, respectively.

Together, they will feature a total of 347 apartments and townhouses, ranging from studios to four-bedroom townhouses.

The residential units will feature a variety of amenities, designed by MSMR and Sella Concepts.

These encompass residents' lounges, a screening room, co-working spaces, meeting rooms, a private dining room, and a roof terrace.

The design teams have paid attention on incorporating green spaces within and around the new buildings.

Gillespies, the landscape architect for the project, has designed a courtyard garden, a rooftop terrace, and a pocket park.

Completion of this project is anticipated by mid-2027.

The launch of this construction phase coincides with the nearing completion of Macfarlane Place, the first building in this stage of development.

This scheme will feature 142 affordable homes for Peabody.

The phase two development will complete the masterplan as well as further integrate the site with the surrounding community

with a new entrance on Wood Lane and a pedestrian pathway that will connect to Hammersmith Park.

Mitsui Fudosan UK executive director Tatsu Imamura said: “We are delighted that construction works for the penultimate residential plots are now underway and we will continue to build upon our existing work on the Television Centre site, which already includes over half a million square feet of office space and 574 private and affordable homes.”
