NCC has been commissioned by Kåpan Fastigheter to construct a new police station for the Swedish Police Authority in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden.

This turnkey contract, valued at approximately Skr440m ($46.76m), is set for completion in 2028.

The facility will span 10,000m², featuring offices, meeting rooms, and other operational spaces.

Kåpan Fastigheter CEO Cecilia Vestin said: “The Swedish Police Authority is one of our most important tenants, and we are proud to contribute to its vital role in society.”

The building will be located adjacent to the Paradiset waterpark in central Örnsköldsvik and will be Miljöbyggnad Silver-certified.

Niklas Sparw, head of NCC Building Sweden, said: “The new police station will contain several different kinds of operations and will be built at a centrally located site.”

The order value will be registered by NCC in the second quarter (Q2) of 2025, with construction beginning immediately.

In addition, NCC has been commissioned by Boliden to construct a sand recycling plant in Skellefteå, Sweden.

The project includes building a sand recycling building, a silo, and a media bridge.

Kenneth Nilsson, head of NCC Infrastructure, said: “This project requires the integration of several different areas of expertise within NCC.”

NCC is also reconstructing Boliden’s electrolysis plant at Rönnskär in Skelleftehamn.

Construction for the sand recycling plant is set to begin in Q3 2025, with completion expected in 2026.
