Leighton Asia, a subsidiary of CIMIC Group, has been awarded a contract valued at more than Rs8.5bn ($90m) by Embassy Developments to deliver a major residential tower in Mumbai, India.
The project, named Embassy Citadel, will be located on Dr Elijah Moses Road in the Worli district of South Mumbai and represents Embassy Developments’ entry into Mumbai’s residential market.
The Embassy Citadel project involves the construction of a single, approximately 300m-high tower.
The development will cover around 192,000m² of built-up area and is expected to offer 316 residences in configurations of three, four and five bedrooms, along with two triplex mansion homes.
The scheme will also include about 9,300m² of amenities spread across seven floors, and a Sky Lounge on the 79th floor.
The contract scope awarded to Leighton Asia includes all civil and structural works for the tower.

Embassy Developments estimates the project to have a gross development value of approximately Rs88bn. Work is planned to begin in July 2026.

The development has been designed with input from several international consultants, including ADA Architecture (Mumbai), Studio HBA (Singapore and Hong Kong), STX Landscape Architects (Singapore) and Thornton Tomasetti (New York).
In June 2025, Leighton Asia secured a contract to construct a residential development called Elan The Emperor in Gurugram, India, for real estate firm Elan Group.
