HCW, a US-based company specialising in real-estate development and property management, has begun construction on a 9.64-acre mixed-use project in Overland Park, Kansas. 

The development is expected to be completed and open its doors in late 2026. 

This development will feature a four-storey AC Hotel by Marriott, encompassing 100,000ft² and offering 126 rooms.  

The hotel will also feature a full-service restaurant and bar, 4,500ft² dedicated to meetings and events, and a suite for weddings.  

Additionally, guests will have access to an outdoor space equipped with a heated pool, waterfall wall, fire pits, and seating areas, designed for various events such as weddings and corporate gatherings. 

Two restaurant groups have already signed leases to operate within the development, the company said. 

Furthermore, the project will comprise a 10,000ft² retail centre, offering five units available for lease. 

The location of the project is near the upcoming Andretti Indoor Karting & Games entertainment centre, as well as Park Place shopping centre, Towne Center Plaza, the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City, and the T-Mobile and Aspiria campuses.

The development team includes HCW as the owner and developer. 

Titan Built will serve as the general contractor and Equity Bank will provide financial backing. 

In November 2022, HCW broke ground on Tucson Landing, a 210-unit, luxury apartment project in Tucson, Arizona, US. 

The three-storey apartment project was located on 8.5 acres off Interstate 19 and Irvington Road. It was also located next to an outdoor shopping centre, Tucson Spectrum, in the 65-acre mixed-use project, The Landing. 

The Tucson Landing apartment project was opened in mid-2024.
