Eiffage to design and build Frontex headquarters in Warsaw, Poland

The builder will make use of green technologies such as rooftop PV panels and rainwater harvesting systems.

Eiffage, through its subsidiary Eiffage Construction, has secured a contract from Frontex, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency, to design and build its new headquarters in Warsaw, Poland.

The project involves constructing a seven-floor building with two basement levels, spanning 69,000m² in the Mokotów district, designed to house over 2,000 Frontex employees.

Under the agreement, Eiffage will also maintain the site for two years post-construction.

The project will leverage the expertise of Defor, the Polish subsidiary of Eiffage’s facade specialist Goyer.

To meet environmental objectives, Eiffage Construction plans to use low-emission concrete, install rooftop photovoltaic (PV) panels, and implement a rainwater recovery system to reduce the building’s resource consumption.

Also, geothermal installation will ensure year-round thermal comfort, with the project targeting Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method certification.

Existing green spaces will be preserved, with additional trees and shrubs planted to enhance biodiversity.

The development will include external amenities such as a garden for employees and a public park.

Construction is set to begin in January 2026 and is expected to be completed by 2028.

In April 2025, Eiffage’s subsidiary Eiffage Energía Sistemas secured a €134m ($155.91m) contract from Everwood Capital to construct two solar power plants in Montemayor, Córdoba, Spain.

The turnkey project includes the 250MWp Cabra power plant and the 50MWp Olivar power plant, covering equipment supply, high-voltage connection infrastructure, and ongoing operation and maintenance services.
