State-owned Dubai Holding has signed a Dh5bn ($1.36bn) construction contract with China State Construction Engineering Corporation Middle East (CSCEC ME) for its new group headquarters and the Jumeirah Residences Emirates Towers development.
The agreement was witnessed by Dubai Holding chairman Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum.
Scheduled for completion in 2029, the headquarters was designed by international architecture and engineering business Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM).
It will feature a circular layout organised around a central open-air atrium and landscaped courtyard. The design also includes expansive terraces, which aim to facilitate interaction among occupants.
Dubai Holding stated that the design of the headquarters aims to support resource efficiency and enhance workplace experience, with ambitions to meet international standards for sustainability and well-being.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum said: “We continue to build from a position of strength, committing capital to assets that support economic growth and create value for our people, communities and future generations.

The latest contract will also support progress on Jumeirah Residences Emirates Towers, which will feature 754 branded residences in two towers at the same location.
Designed by SCDA Architects, the project is being delivered by CSCEC ME, with completion scheduled for 2030.
CSCEC ME, which has been operating in the UAE since 2003, has delivered more than 110 major projects across the Gulf region in sectors such as residential, commercial, hospitality, and infrastructure.
