Winvic Construction has secured a contract from property developer Goodman to construct a new warehouse in Andover, the UK for wine merchant Berry Bros. & Rudd.

The 117,500ft2 warehouse will be located at Andover Business Park, an industrial, distribution and warehouse space in the UK.

It will have the capacity to store more than 14 million bottles of wine at optimum temperature and in a humidity-controlled environment.

The project will include a 2,500ft2 open plan office space and is planned to commence operations in summer 2022.

Winvic will also be responsible for external works including hardstanding and landscaping works, construction of access roads, utility and drainage installation, pavements and car parking for 27 vehicles.

The company is designing the single-storey industrial unit to be carbon neutral using BIM Level 2. It will feature electric vehicle charging points, generate its own energy supply and operate using rainwater harvesting.
