Westbourne Constructions has been selected by property developer Poly Global as the builder for the new $364m Spring Square, a mixed-use master-planned development in Bankstown New South Wales (NSW), Australia.

The new development, which is located on the site of the old Bankstown RSL at the north-western core of Bankstown’s CBD, will feature 516 studios, up to three-bedroom apartments across five towers as well as retail and commercial spaces.

Westbourne managing director Derek Pearson said: “Works will commence on site within the fortnight and Westbourne looks forward to sharing details of the project’s progress via our social media platforms.”

Architect firm Scott Carver has designed the urban vertical village that is surrounded by landscaped common areas. It comprises a total of 6,600m² of ground-floor retail, level one commercial suites and an integrated childcare facility.

Poly NSW executive director Dr Ying Rao said: “Spring Square will inject new life into Bankstown, embracing its culture and unearthing a new way to live, work and play in this vibrant precinct.

“The new masterplan was inspired by vertical communities around the globe and apartment designs will showcase expansive district views, as well as provide open, spacious living environments designed to bring the outdoors in.”

Located close to schools, medical services and public transport hubs, the Spring Square development offers easy access to lifestyle amenities as well as parks and recreation.

Poly Global said that the mixed-use scheme forms a local nexus and community hub for existing and future residents.

Construction on the project is planned to commence next month with completion scheduled in the third quarter of 2022.
