Real estate development company Welker Properties has unveiled its plans to develop a new build-to-rent (BTR) project in Collin County, Texas, US.
With an investment of $95m, the Wolf Creek Farms Melissa BTR project will have 343 Class-A units.
Construction will start at the end of the year, with development expected to last the next two years, aiming for completion by the end of 2025.
Strategically located between the I-75 motorway and Sam Rayburn Tollway, the gated community project will provide all the aspects of single-family homes with detached units, each boasting a private garden.
The project will offer community amenities consisting of multiple open courtyards, a resident lounge, a fitness centre, a dog park, and a resort-style pool, with Wi-Fi to also be available across the residencies.
In addition, the project will offer easy access to public schools and retail services, including McKinney town square, The Shops at Legacy, and The Star in Frisco.
Welker founder and CEO Andrew Welker said: “Luxury BTR communities are emerging throughout the US, especially in the Sunbelt [southern part of US] markets.
“As these areas increase in popularity, we are proud to prioritise BTR communities that provide residents with high-quality living and the opportunity to experience everything Melissa has to offer without the long-term commitment of homeownership.”
