UK-based building and civil engineering services provider WB Griffiths & Son has received a contractor award from Pembrokeshire County Council to develop a residential unit in Milford Haven, Wales, UK.

The development will be built on a site at Charles Street. The site was previously home to a retail complex that was demolished in 2018. Plans include the construction of one and two-bedroom units for local social housing tenants.

The development will create sustainable units for future generations that are indicated to be both energy efficient and environmentally friendly.

Planning & Housing Delivery cabinet member and councillor Jon Harvey said: “It is really pleasing that the preconstruction services agreement for the redevelopment of this important site within the town centre of Milford Haven has now been awarded.

“The site is one of a number identified in the council’s house-building programme and when complete the development will provide much-needed additional affordable homes in the town.”

Construction works are set to commence in late 2024, with completion set to take approximately one year.
