Vistry Group and Clarion Housing Group have formed a new joint venture to build 1,000 homes at Collingtree, near Northampton in England, UK.

Estimated to cost ₤400m, the mixed tenure development will include 700 homes for private sale, ranging between one and five-bedroom homes from Vistry Group’s new property collection.

The remaining 300 will be affordable homes, out of which 195 shall be shared ownership and 105 shall be affordable rental homes.

The joint venture has increased the number of affordable homes, which was claimed to be a priority for both organisations. Construction at the site is expected to begin this month.

Vistry and Clarion Housing have agreed to invest significantly in social infrastructure, offering several facilities to support the local community. A total of ₤18m will be invested to support the construction of a new primary school and a community centre.
