Vistry Group, in partnership with Chelmer Housing Partnership (CHP), has announced the delivery of the first seven affordable homes at the St James’ Park development in the UK.

The St James’ Park development, being delivered through Vistry’s Countryside Partnerships brand, is set to provide 42 affordable homes in total.

These affordable homes comprise 28 rented homes and 14 shared-ownership homes. The properties range from two to four bedrooms, catering to various household sizes.

Vistry Central Home Counties managing director Verity MacMahon said: “We are to [so] very pleased that seven of the 42 high-quality, affordable homes at our St James’ Park development have now been delivered in partnership with CHP, helping to meet local demand for affordable housing.

“We have a strong track record of working with partners to deliver high-quality mixed-tenure housing and St James’ Park is a great example of the sustainable long-term communities we have become known for. We look forward to completing the remainder of this phase over the coming months.”

The 42 affordable homes form a part of 103 homes in total being delivered by the company as part of the latest phase of the St James’ Park development.

The development’s 103 homes also include 30 private homes and 31 homes designated for the private rental market.

Vistry noted that 12 of these 30 private homes have been launched to the market, offering three and four-bedroom homes.

The St James’ Park development, located in Bishop’s Stortford, is surrounded by the Hertfordshire and Essex countryside, with commuter links to London.

Amenities at the community will include sports and recreational facilities, open green spaces, and educational institutions, including primary and secondary schools.

It will also feature a village centre with shops and an employment park.

Last month, Vistry announced partnerships with Abri and Clarion Housing Association to develop 1,900 new homes across two sites in the country.
