This contract is covered in the order book for the present quarter.

Norrbotniabanan is a 270km stretch of railway presently under construction in the coastal region between Umeå and Luleå in northern Sweden.

It is expected to facilitate travel and freight transport across the country.

Due to a straighter route next to the coast, where Norrland’s largest cities are situated, the new and modern Norrbotniabanan is expected to handle heavy loads.

As a result of transport moving from road to rail, the line is expected to annually help cut down CO2 emissions by around 80,000 tonnes.

In September Veidekke secured a contract to construct 81 residential units in the HSB brf Ramselyckan development in Öjersjö, northeast of Gothenburg, Sweden.

The collaborative design and build contract was valued at SEK222m ($25.6m).
