The contract ensures the preferred development trajectory for our project portfolio in terms of civil engineering operations,

Bane NOR expansion director Stine Undrum said: “We are very pleased to have secured the services of a robust, experienced construction expert in the form of Veidekke to help us ensure that journey times between Oslo and Hamar are reduced, that more passenger trains are able to travel in each direction every hour, and that the capacity for eco-friendly freight is in place once the dual track route is completed on schedule in 2027.”

The contract is added in Veidekke Infrastructure’s order book for the first quarter of this year.

The company will begin design work and preparatory activities immediately, while construction work is slated to begin during the second quarter of this year.
