Skanska is set to invest $55.6m (SEK480m) in a new building in the Centrum Południe office complex located in Wroclaw, Poland.

The office building is situated in the new business district of the city. It will have a total leasable area of around 21,500m2.

Offering 200 underground parking places, the 13-storey office building will include public space for relaxation, walks and meetings.

It is claimed to be the first of its kind in Wroclaw to use anti-smog pavement made of green concretex.

Construction on the project is planned to commence in September 2021 with completion scheduled in the fourth quarter of next year.

In a press statement, Sanska said that the building is “expected to receive several certifications awarded to futureproof, safe and top-quality office spaces supporting people’s health and wellbeing as well as climate targets; LEED Platinum, WELL Core & Shell, WELL Health & Safety Rating and Building without Barriers.”

Sanska said that the more than 60% has already been leased for the first phase of the Centrum Południe complex, which will have a total usable space of about 85,000m2.

The first phase of the project comprises two buildings with a total leasable area of 28,100m2.

The contract involves the construction of nine new buildings and expansion or modernisation of four existing buildings, with a total area of 36,700m2. These buildings include a process building, a warehouse, laboratories, offices, and utility buildings.

The construction is planned for completion in April 2023.
