Real-estatecompany and builder Ryan Companies has announced the construction of Kurita America’s new headquarters in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.

The City of Brooklyn Park had approved the project last month and Ryan began construction this month on its business park development, 610Zane.

With nearly 84,000ft² of the 156,000ft² facility will be allocated as production space and the remaining space will be used as lab, training and office space.

Furthermore, the new facility will feature an elevated, observation deck overlooking the entire production area which is larger than a football field.

The water treatment solutions provider expects nearly 200 of its 620 employees will occupy the new building space once it is completed.

Ryan Companies real estate development vice president Dan Mueller said: “We have built a great relationship with Kurita’s team and learned a lot about their business during the development process.

“They are a great company, and we’re proud to be their partner. They are a perfect fit for our 610Zane Business Park, and they will be an excellent addition to the solid employer base in the Brooklyn Park community.

“Our hope is their new facility will allow them to continue their growth and assist in recruiting and retaining employees, especially given the proximity to amenities within the business park. We are excited to get to work.”

Kurita’s new headquarters will comprise a consolidation between Tonka Water out of Plymouth, Minnesota, Fremont Industries out of Shakopee, Minnesota and US Water out of St. Michael, Minnesota.

Kurita America provides water solutions for industrial, commercial and institutional facilities and municipal drinking water markets.

The company designs, manufactures and implements integrated solutions including chemicals, equipment systems, and on-site services that create economic value, help ensure sustainability, and environmental stewardship for their customers.

In January this year, Ryan partnered with North Memorial Health and announced their plan to build a mixed-use development centred around Maple Grove Hospital, the site will include 400 units of multifamily living and 150 units of senior living on a 100-acre site in Maple Grove, Minnesota.
