The community is being constructed under a 9% tax credit programme.

NRP will retain sole ownership and management of the property post-completion, which will include on-site staff.

New York State Homes and Community Renewal commissioner RuthAnne Visnauskas said: “Selkirk Reserve will boost the region’s housing supply with 72 energy-efficient homes in the town of Bethlehem, including 12 with supportive services for veterans.

“With access to high-performing schools and excellent amenities, future residents will benefit from the many opportunities that a good-quality home can provide. Congratulations to the NRP Group, Soldier On, and all who have contributed to reaching this milestone.”

Located close to Downtown Albany, the community will provide workforce housing for households earning between 30% to 60% of the area median income (AMI).

The housing community will also offer support services to 12 veterans experiencing homelessness, in partnership with Soldier On, funded by The Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative.

In addition, the project has garnered support from local organisations such as Housing for All and Neighbours for Affordable Housing.

Last month, the NRP Group began construction on a multifamily community, The Riley, in Fort Myers, Florida, US.
