Wright Runstad & Company has released new details of the Rainier Square project providing greater design information about the proposed redevelopment in Seattle, US.
The 1.15 million ft² Rainier Square project is part of the University of Washington’s Metropolitan Tract in downtown Seattle. The images and details have been released as part of the project’s Master Use Permit application, which were recently filed.

The project will include a 58-storey tower making it the second tallest tower in Seattle, offering 790,000ft² of office space, about 180 apartment units and parking for more than 1,200 cars in a new underground garage.
A separate 12-storey hotel and 30,000ft² of distinctive restaurants and retail shops will sit in the base of the project.
Wright Runstad & Company president Greg Johnson said: "The submission of our Master Use Permit application represents a significant milestone in the advancement of the project and puts us in position to begin construction in late 2015, with the first tenants occupying the project in late 2017.
"With project design and entitlements falling into place, we have been able to advance our discussions with potential tenants, hotel operators and project investors."
The University of Washington owns the Metropolitan Tract in downtown Seattle, containing around 11 acres or more than four city blocks.
In addition to Rainier Square, the Tract includes landmark buildings such as Rainier Tower, the Fairmont Olympic Hotel and the IBM Building.
