Yorkshire-based developers Gregory Projects and Marshalls have submitted plans to Leeds City Council in the UK for Whitehall Plaza, a £30m office and hotel development adjacent to Leeds City railway station.

The plans include a 130-bed hotel together with a restaurant, as well as 50,000ft2 of Grade A office space with associated basement parking.

The plaza is proposed to be built on a vacant 26,136ft2 site in front of No 1 Whitehall Riverside.

The planning approval is expected by the end of the 2011, with work anticipated to start in the first half of 2012.
