NewRiver Retail has secured approval for its £65m plan to redevelop the Martlets Shopping Centre located in West Sussex.
The redevelopment plan was approved by Mid Sussex District Council (MSDC).

Construction is slated to begin by early 2017 and is likely to be completed by 2019.
The mixed-use redevelopment project, spread over 200,000ft², will feature a multiplex cinema with ten screens, a hotel, five restaurants, a gym, 140 residential units and a modern library.
In addition, it would have space for parking of more than 500 cars, as well as have an additional 70,000ft² of space dedicated to retail outlets.
NewRiver property director Allan Lockhart was quoted by Constructionenquirer as saying: "We are delighted to have received unanimous support from Mid Sussex’s Planning Committee to grant planning permission, marking a major milestone in our £65m development plans for Burgess Hill, which will serve as a catalyst for economic and social regeneration in the area.
"Our proposed plans include pre-lets with some of Europe’s best in class retail and leisure operators, and in collaboration with Mid-Sussex District Council, will create a dynamic mixed-use town centre in West Sussex that is fit for purpose for the 21st century.
"This major development will be delivered in line with NewRiver’s risk-controlled development strategy and is expected to generate attractive returns for our investors and a revitalised town centre for Burgess Hill."
MSDC Councillor Garry Wall was quoted by Theargus.co.uk as saying: "Revitalising the Martlets Shopping Centre is a major boost for Burgess Hill.
"Local people deserve a town centre that has the shops and restaurants that they want to visit.
"This development will mean there is more for families and people to do in the evenings, making Burgess Hill a great place to shop, relax and spend free time."
