Illinois-based Marquette is reportedly planning to start construction on its new $105m luxury residential project in downtown Houston this week.
It is planned to be built on 1.4 acres of land, in a joint venture between Marquette; Hunt and Ares Management. The new 361 unit Catalyst Houston apartment project is anticipated for completion in summer 2016.
The single, double and triple bedroom apartments, averaging 950ft², will also feature hardwood flooring, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, seven-12ft ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, in addition to a private balcony or terrace, according to Houston Business Journal.
With 7,700ft² of ground floor retail and restaurant space, the new tower will feature a 589 space private parking garage above the retail space and underneath the residential units.
The project also involves a full-size, resort-style rooftop pool and other luxurious amenities including 20 penthouses on the top two floors.
Other common amenities include a Wi-Fi lounge, conference centre, and a fitness centre, in addition to 6,000ft² of restaurant space and a’hospitality suite, which is a one-bedroom unit that can be hired for visitors.
Residents will be able to safely access the floor and private garage, as well as a private clubroom with an outdoor grill, fireplace and private bar.
The latest project marks Marquette’s first project in Houston and the second Catalyst project, modelled after a similar one in Chicago’s West Loop.
