UK-based developer ISG has won a contract for an £11m refurbishment of the Pinnacle House in Wimbledon.

The developer will be expanding the existing office space at the building for Aviva Investors by nearly 50%.

Works for the project will include construction of three new floors, along with a revised internal layout for the 56,000ft² office development.

ISG will be responsible for modifying the outdated façade of the existing structure and replacement of the roadside brickwork and glazed elevation with a striking scalloped curtain walling design.

"This transformational scheme will revitalise an outdated property asset in the centre of Wimbledon into a stand out office development."

The building will initially be stripped back to a shell and core state while the developer focuses on its interiors.

Extensive structural works including replacement of cores, creation of a new central staircase, installation of lifts, along with setting up of new mechanical and electrical services infrastructure will also be parts of the interior development.

The main entrance and public realm space will also undergo significant modifications, ISG said.

A new ground floor reception area will be created as a part of the refurbishment scheme.

ISG Southern regional managing director Stuart Deverill said: "This transformational scheme will revitalise an outdated property asset in the centre of Wimbledon into a stand out office development, with a significant increase in rentable space and a striking new exterior.
