McCain Manufacturing, a US-based manufacturer of modular walls, has started manufacturing quick-to-build containment walls in response to COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
According to McCain Manufacturing, the new containment walls can be made with an antimicrobial coating and they are now being manufactured at the company’s headquarters in Vista, California.

The company claims that the new dust-free walls can be produced within minutes and can be installed within hours. They can also be easily disinfected without endangering the integrity of the surface. Two installers can build an 8ft wide by 16ft long containment room within half-an-hour.
McCain stated that its walls and partitions consist of interlocking metal panels and rails, designed to act as temporary wall solutions including enclosures. Made from .090 thick aluminium, wall panels are 3.5″ in depth and are available in various widths and heights.
The walls are mounted on universal rails offering stability to the wall system and can be added to the top and bottom of wall panels, which are fastened together with screws.

If walls panels need to be removed or added from an existing system, or a door kit needs to be added, it can be done by unfastening the desired panels and by making the adjustments without the need for breaking down the entire system, McCain Manufacturing said.
