
Florida Southern College is set to start construction on a new golf facility at Lone Palm Golf Club in Lakeland, Florida, US, on 26 October.
Located near the 18th green at Lone Palm, the new facility has been designed by John Curtis of CMHM Architects and will be developed by Register Construction and Engineering of Lakeland.
Florida Southern College Athletics director Drew Howard said: “This project is going to completely change the game for the future of golf at Florida Southern.
“We are grateful for our continued relationship with Lone Palm, which enables Robbie Davis and Lee White to continually recruit and nurture exceptional student athletes.”
Occupying a 4,000ft² area, the Moccasins’ new golf clubhouse will feature a Championship lobby, two TrackMan hitting simulators, and a putt view studio, among others.
The lobby will showcase all 33 titles won by the men’s and women’s golf programmes.
