
Encompass Health has announced plans to build a 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida in the US.
The freestanding one-storey hospital will be named Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Palm Beach Gardens.
Planned to be opened in 2023, the new hospital will complement local acute healthcare services and offer physical, occupational and speech therapies, and 24-hour nursing care.
It will also provide services for patients recovering from major illnesses and injuries including strokes and other neurological disorders, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations and complex orthopedic conditions.
The facility will comprise all private patient rooms, a spacious therapy gym with advanced rehabilitation technologies.
It will also feature living suite, cafeteria, dining room, pharmacy and therapy courtyard.

By GlobalDataIn Florida, Encompass Health currently owns 13 inpatient rehabilitation hospitals. It also has one hospital under construction in Pensacola with plans to open in August 2021.
The integrated healthcare services provider is due to open seven other hospitals in Florida in 2022 and 2023.
Earlier this month, Encompass Health unveiled plans to build a 40–bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Fitchburg, Wisconsin, a suburb of Madison.
To be named Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Fitchburg, the new hospital will be located at the southeast corner of South Fish Hatchery Road and Nobel Drive. It is planned to be opened in 2023.
Through a network of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, home health agencies and hospice agencies, Encompass Health offers both facility–based and home–based patient care.
It operates 140 hospitals, 249 home health locations, and 94 hospice locations in 42 US states and Puerto Rico.
