Clowes Develoments, a property investment & development company, has unveiled plans to develop a 345,000ft2 business park to support the growing high-performance engineering and motorsport sector in Northamptonshire, the UK.

The new project, named Podium Business Park, will be strategically located directly adjacent to the A43 near Silverstone Motor Circuit.

It will include industrial/warehouse units ranging from 8,000ft2 up to a detached facility of 75,000ft2.

These new units are planned to be speculatively constructed in phase-wise to an institutional specification.

Additionally, the new buildings will be available on both a leasehold and freehold basis and will be constructed to meet the occupier’s specific requirements.

Clowes Developments director James Richard said: “At the traditional core of high-performance engineering in Northamptonshire is the manufacture of F1 and other racing cars and engines.

“However, the supply chain includes a large number of associated companies which provide niche products, testing and measurement services, and high-end customised finishes – often requiring bespoke premises.

This scheme will build on the success of the adjacent industrial estate and provide a complimentary opportunity for economic growth in West Northamptonshire, in a location which has high quality links to local, regional and national markets.”

Furthermore, the developer hopes that the Podium Business Park can present individuality and high specification as required by these growing high-performance engineering and motorsport sectors.

Recently, Clowes Developments has submitted planning application for a new 101,836ft2 advanced production facility at Nottingham’s Fairham Business Park.

The proposed facility at Fairham Business Park will enable it to bring three of its existing operations together in one place.
