BAM has commenced construction on the first office building, 3 Copper Square, at Brent Cross Town in North London, England UK.
Brent Cross is a 180-acre, £8bn ($10.22bn) mixed-use development, aiming to become a net-zero carbon town by 2030.
It is being delivered in partnership between Related Argent and Barnet Council.
BAM was appointed as the main contractor by these parties.
The office building marks the first phase of the town development, which plans to deliver 930 new homes, 662 new student rooms, and retail and new leisure amenities by the end of next year.
Specifically, 3 Copper Square is designed by shedkm architects and will offer 239,000ft² of office space across 14 floors, along with flexible retail space at the ground level.

It will also comprise private and communal terraces.
The structure of 3 Copper Square is a hybrid of cross-laminated timber and concrete, with exposed timber soffits.
It is aiming for energy performance certificate A and Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method Outstanding ratings, as a part of the net-zero park town.
The building will be connected to what is said to be one of Europe’s largest electric district energy networks, a collaboration with Vattenfall, ensuring low-carbon heating and cooling.
Related Argent Commercial Development head Matt Flood said: “This inspiring new hybrid timber and concrete-framed building will provide expansive workspaces that energise and connect.”
The 3 Copper Square office is anticipated to open in the third quarter (Q3) of 2026.
Sheffield Hallam University will become the anchor tenant, occupying roughly 110,000ft² over six floors.
Knight Frank and Cushman & Wakefield have been appointed as the leasing agents for the property.
The project is financially backed by the partnership of Related Argent and Barnet Council, with additional funding from NatWest, which has provided a £62.7m Green Loan.
This announcement comes after BAM was contracted for the construction of Orchards Academy in Swanley, Kent, last month.
