BAM Farrans, a joint venture (JV) between BAM Nuttall and Farrans Construction, is set to commence work on the £121m Great Yarmouth’s Third River Crossing in January next year.

The construction of the new bridge is said to integrate with many other local development projects which are set to transform the Great Yarmouth.

The Third River Crossing will connect the A47 at Harfrey’s roundabout to the port and the enterprise zone on the other side of the river.

It will ease traffic congestion in the town, improve journey reliability and support wider plans and work to maximise investment, regeneration and economic growth opportunities.

The project is expected to create more than 50 jobs and training opportunities for local people.
