UAE-based property development firm Arada has awarded a contract worth $49m (AED180m) to Al Ashram Contracting to construct an upscale residential complex at the $6.5bn (AED24bn) Aljada megaproject in New Sharjah.
The Boulevard is situated in the edge of the ultra-contemporary East Village district of Aljada and comprises three nine-storey apartment blocks, amenities and is surrounded by lush green landscaping.

It includes 600 units featuring one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments with a wide range of sizes and floorplans.
All apartments are equipped with smart home technology and the complex also comprises a fully stocked health club, a shared swimming pool, number of cafes as well as retail outlets at ground-floor level.
Construction work on the project is scheduled commence immediately with the project hand over planned for the end of 2022.
Arada chairman Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi said: “This milestone is evidence of our determination to move forward rapidly with our construction plans at one of the UAE’s fastest-growing communities.

The Aljada megaproject spanning over a 24 square foot area is situated on the last large plot of land.
It comprises numerous residential districts, extensive retail, hospitality, entertainment, sporting, educational and healthcare components.
Till date, Arada has completed construction of 465 units at seven apartment buildings in Aljada.
Another seven apartment buildings, a townhouse and villa community are planned to be completed in the next few months.
